The other day I was waiting to cross the road in front of my college. The traffic was heavy and its movement was continuous. The policeman wasn't there to stop the traffic and assist people in crossing. I waited for quite some time and was worried about being late for class when a truck slowed down and stopped. The truck driver signaled to me to go ahead and cross the road. He waited just so that I, who was stuck there for a long time, could cross. I was unable to thank him but I am grateful for his act of kindness.
A very good way to measure one's success in life is to count the number of smiles he/she brings on to the face of another in a day, week, month or year's time. Here is an opportunity for you to narrate your 'success stories' and share the little things that you did to make your loved one or a stranger smile. You could go ahead and describe the simple but sweet joy you experienced on 'winning' a smile. Don't forget to talk about the smiles that others have brought on to your face!

Two years ago, on my way back from college, I saw a blind woman asking for directions to a particular disability trust. The person from whom the blind woman was trying to seek directions didn't seem to be very sure of the address. I approached the woman and realised that I very well knew where the disability trust was located and how one could get there. Instead of just orally directing the woman, I walked with her to her destination. We had a nice, long chat on the way. Once we reached the trust, I remember the woman thanking me profusely. I also remember feeling extremely grateful to God for giving me an opportunity to help someone and make her smile :)
